Lightness and flow; long-forgotten words in a world of mass-produced, electrically-welded ironwork.
Yet it's precisely these qualities that hand forging is able to achieve. The beautiful flowing iron forms seen adorning many of our ancient buildings bear testament to the skill of Blacksmiths past. With fire, forge, anvil and hammer came movement and lightness.
Using traditional techniques I reproduce these qualities in my work to create beautiful metal sculpture and mixed media sculpture for both private and public spaces. From garden sculpture and interior design, to public art and architectural ornamentation; my hand forged metal designs always please and delight.
